Piper nigrum
Black pepper is a popular culinary spice used to enhance the flavour of food. With its intense, pungent, fruity and spicy aroma, Black Pepper essential oil is excellent for enhancing the flavour of meats, soups, entrées and salads. Although black pepper is best known for its wide range of culinary uses, it offers equally noteworthy benefits when used topically.
Primary Benefits
Considered one of the most flavourful essential oils.
A versatile food seasoning, widely used around the world—primarily in ground form from the berries—to flavour savoury dishes.
Its stimulating, herbaceous aroma also makes it ideal for flavouring soups, salads and savoury dishes.
Cooking with Black Pepper essential oil
Essential oils can flavour food much more effectively than dried spices or other flavourings. Because of their intense potency, even the smallest amount can add a remarkable flavour impact to dishes. When cooking with Black Pepper essential oil, it is best to use the “toothpick method”: dip the end of a clean toothpick into the oil bottle, then stir it into the other ingredients. After mixing it thoroughly into the food, taste it to see whether more oil is needed.
Uses
When preparing your next meal, combine Black Pepper with Cilantro essential oil for a truly spicy flavour, and use it to enhance meats, soups, entrées and salads.
Directions for Use
For food flavouring.
Caution
Use only diluted. Do not consume more than one drop per day. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
Sourcing
