How Does Sourcing Work?
Helichrysum is a low-growing perennial herb in the daisy family. It has needle-like, silvery leaves and clusters of golden-yellow, ball-shaped flowers. The plant thrives in rocky, well-drained soil and a Mediterranean climate. Its essential oil is extracted primarily from the flowers. Helichrysum is harvested in late summer or early autumn, when the flowers are mature enough for harvest. The plant reaches peak productivity after about five years and can produce for a total of around seven years.
