How does it work?

Common yarrow is a perennial herb with upright stems ending in clusters of small white or pink ray flowers and light-green, feathery leaves. Its essential oil is obtained from the flowers by steam distillation.

Creating livelihoods and preserving tradition

Bulgaria can proudly count itself among the countries that have long been leaders in the research, development and production of essential oils. During the post-communist era, however, the sector experienced some decline because government financial support was directed more toward wheat, sunflower and corn production.
